When a car arrives for the start of its restoration work, it is completely stripped down to reveal all the problems that have to be dealt with.
All parts are cleaned, repaired, and painted with primer. New body panels are fitted where necessary. Chassis sections are checked for corrosion and new steel sections are welded into place where required.
Axles, steering gear and suspension components are removed and repainted along with any chassis sections or sub frames that need to be removed.
Primer coats are applied, then colour paint coats are added inside and out. The car is then re-assembled and the chassis, shell is moved into the paint shop for the final painting process.
